Born in Milan, raised on his grandfather's clarinet and struck by Sonny Rollins. Ever since, one road only: jazz.
One road only: jazz

Milan, 1974. Music was in the air at home, thanks to a clarinettist grandfather.
Clarinet and the Verdi Conservatory first, then jazz and the saxophone with Paolo Tomelleri, Pietro Tonolo and Tino Tracanna. On 10 May 2001 he met Sonny Rollins in Reggio Emilia: an hour-long conversation and a clear direction. A year later, his first record as a leader.
He plays in Italy and abroad, leads the Mixiland jazz band and teaches at CPM in Milan.
- 15 records as leader and co-leader
- 16 as sideman
- 33 concerts at Blue Note Milan
- 4★ DownBeat for “Nuvole di Carta” and “6:35 AM”
