Jazz meets the masterpieces of Mino Reitano: the story of a legend rewritten on stage.
“Mino Legacy is a dedication that grew in me over the years and became necessary. I retrace my uncle Mino’s career through the songs that made him famous around the world, celebrating his creativity to give it new life and to bear witness to his excellence for new generations.”
— Felice Clemente
Bringing “Mino Legacy” to the stage means creating a concert of strong emotional and cultural impact. The saxophonist and composer offers an act of love towards his roots, celebrating the people who led him to music: his grandfather Rocco and his uncle Mino Reitano.
Live, some of the best-known melodies of Italian song shed their traditional dress and are reinvented on the spot as true jazz standards, blending with the freedom and energy of contemporary improvisation. The set combines classic hits – “Una ragione di più”, “L’uomo e la valigia”, “La mia canzone”, “Vorrei” – with new pieces, including the title track “Mino Legacy”, a bridge between past and future.
Felice Clemente is joined by Fabio Nuzzolese on piano, Giulio Corini on double bass and Massimo Manzi on drums: an intense dialogue that moves audiences at summer festivals, theatres and jazz clubs.
