Projects

Projects, encounters and new forms of contemporary jazz.

Some musicians identify with a single repertoire. Others keep generating new languages, encounters and musical possibilities. Felice Clemente belongs to the second kind.

Saxophonist, clarinettist, composer and conductor, Clemente is one of the most authoritative figures in Italian and international jazz. Critics recognised him long ago: la Repubblica called him “the best young Italian saxophonist”, and the American magazine Cadence named him “a talent destined to make jazz history”.

An international path

His career combines a rich discography with concerts on some of the world’s most prestigious stages: from the Blue Note in Milan to Smalls and the Kitano in New York, from Umbria Jazz and the Torino Jazz Festival to the Boston Jazz Festival.

Projects in motion

Felice Clemente’s music is not tied to a single line-up: it grows through flexible, ever-evolving projects. Different projects and first-rate musicians gather around his artistic personality, reshaping jazz for every setting, from international festivals to theatres, from historic clubs to cultural seasons. Different projects, different ways of bringing jazz and audiences together.
